Year 8 at Chester Zoo for the Climate and Sustainability Project

This term Year 8 have been involved in Chester Zoo’s Climate and sustainability project. Pupils have been learning about the causes and impact of climate change, and what we can do about them. They have specifically been looking at the effects of palm oil and how the growth and use of palm oil is contributing directly to the decline in the number of Sumatran tigers and orangutans and the Bornean orangutans. The project was topped off with a trip to Chester Zoo to learn more about endangered species and how Chester Zoo are supporting conservation projects all over the world.
