Study Tips

What to do before you start revising

  • Create an exam timetable that tells you when and how long each exam is.
  • Make sure you have a copy of your Personalise Learning Checklist (PLC) that gives you the details about all the topics you need to revise. You need your PLC in every subject to make sure you know what the content is that you have to learn.
  • Put together a revision timetable: to give you enough time to learn, and revisit, all the topics and components of learning in all subjects.

Revision Techniques

  • Flashcards
  • Mind maps
  • Concept maps
  • Self-quiz & self-testing
  • Past papers
  • Self-marking exam answers using exam board mark schemes
  • Graphic organisers

When you get what you want in your struggle for pelf,
And the world makes you King for a day,
Then go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that guy has to say

“You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years,
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be heartaches and tears
If you’ve cheated the guy in the glass”
